Part-Time Voice Instructor The Colorado Springs Conservatory is seeking an enthusiastic and supportive Part-Time Vocal Instructor to join our faculty. This position provides private and sometimes small-group voice instruction to young performers in a creative, collaborative, and student-centered environment. This is a great opportunity for a vocal professional looking for part-time work with a flexible schedule. Lessons are primarily scheduled during after-school and early evening hours, with flexibility in the number of days worked based on instructor availability and student scheduling. Responsibilities Teach private and possible small-group voice lessons Help students develop healthy vocal technique, confidence, musicianship, and performance skills Select age- and skill-appropriate repertoire Prepare students for showcases, performances, and Conservatory events as needed Communicate effectively with students, families, faculty, and administrative staff Maintain attendance and student information using Conservatory systems Collaborate with fellow faculty to provide a positive and supportive learning environment Qualifications Background in vocal performance, music education, or a related field; degree or equivalent professional experience preferred Experience teaching voice to children and/or teens Knowledge of healthy vocal technique for developing voices Strong communication and organizational skills Dependable, encouraging, and collaborative Ability to successfully complete a background check

Preferred:

Experience with musical theatre, contemporary vocal styles, and/or teaching in a conservatory, school, or after-school setting. Schedule & Compensation Part-time, approximately 10-15 hours per week Hours are primarily after school and into the early evening Flexible scheduling with the ability to establish teaching days based on instructor availability and student needs Hourly compensation based on education and experience About the Colorado Springs Conservatory The Colorado Springs Conservatory provides performing arts education and experiences that inspire and develop young artists.
