Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Trumpet Instructor to inspire students of all ages through the art of trumpet playing and music education. In this role, you will design engaging curricula, deliver inspiring lessons, and foster a love for music and creative arts. Your expertise will help students develop their instrumental skills, musical understanding, and performance confidence while promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of musicians and artists. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive lesson plans tailored to students' skill levels, focusing on trumpet technique, musicality, and performance skills Teach students how to play the trumpet, including proper breath control, embouchure, fingerings, and tone production Incorporate curriculum development strategies to create engaging lessons that promote growth in musical performance and understanding Manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a motivating and supportive atmosphere for learners of all ages Prepare students for recitals, performances, or competitions by guiding rehearsals and providing constructive feedback Collaborate with other arts instructors to integrate trumpet instruction with broader visual & performing arts programs such as theater, dance, or choreography Utilize various teaching methods including visual aids, demonstrations, and hands-on practice to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes Experience Proven experience working with children and youth programs in a teaching capacity Strong background in teaching instrumental performance, particularly trumpet or brass instruments Experience developing curriculum for music or arts education programs Familiarity with classroom management techniques suitable for diverse age groups Knowledge of choreography, dance instruction, or theater experience is a plus for integrated arts projects Demonstrated ability to work with students with varying learning needs, including special education or early childhood education settings Prior experience in teaching visual & performing arts or creative arts instruction is highly desirable Join us as a Trumpet Instructor and ignite a passion for music that lasts a lifetime!
