Pay starting at $20.00 per hour, increasing to $21.00 per hour after 90-day introductory period! Make a difference in some's life! Provide the expertise, knowledge, and skills necessary to organize and supervise Loveland Center participants in the classroom, on campus, and/or in the community.
SUMMARY:
The Performing Art Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting theater classes, workshops, and rehearsals, with a focus on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role involves designing engaging theater activities, mentoring participants, and collaborating with staff to enhance the programs success at Loveland Center.
DUTIES:
Maintain professional standards of the highest quality with regards to health, safety, program room management and public relations.

Acquire and maintain proficient level of technological skills as applied to job requirements and industry standards.

Be a part of the development of individualized implementation plans with input from each assigned participant, managers, and family members.

Work within prescribed individualized implementation plans and behavior plans for each participant, monitoring progress and giving input on setting annual goals.

Plans, organizes, and conducts theater classes, workshops, and rehearsals with participants.

Designs lesson plans and activities to teach on stage techniques (acting techniques, improvisation, script analysis, and movement) and/or backstage techniques (Stage management, set design, costume design, scenic painting, make up).Motivates and engages participants to achieve theater goals, working alongside the Show Director.

Assists in the production of theater performances, including set design and costume coordination.

Provides constructive feedback to enhance participants performance skills.

Collaborates with staff and volunteers to ensure a cohesive and supportive program.
