Technical Theater Instructor Description:
The Hanover Theatre Conservatory is currently seeking a Technical Theater Instructor to teach two classes on Tuesday evenings to teens and adults. Classes run from September through May. They must possess a deep understanding of creative classroom management and create a safe, supportive and structured classroom environment. Must be able to create and execute lesson plans based on a curriculum outline. Must be passionate about the performing arts. Class schedule is Tuesdays from 6-8PM. Intro to Tech is from 6-7PM and Lighting 1 is from 7-8PM. T is also the possibility to sub for other classes throughout the week and teach our STEAM workshops during the school day.
Qualifications:
Must be willing and available to work on-site in Worcester, MA. In-depth knowledge and expertise in technical theater and performance. Knowledge and demonstrated practice of effective classroom management strategies to maintain a safe and effective learning environment. Strongmunication skills (both verbal and written). Demonstrated leadership ability. Effective prioritization and multitasking skills. Collaborative decision-making skills in a team environment. Detail oriented with ability to effectively multitask. Must have reliable transportation.
