Job Description
Teaches fused glass to students of all ages at the Brunswick Community College Southport Annex. Instructor should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and be detail oriented. Work involves maintaining the fused glass studio (loading and unloading kilns, etc.) as related to your class usage in addition to instructing an average of 10 participants per session. Must work well with others in shared studios. Creates lesson plans Recruits students personally taught Provides project-based instruction Provides regular and constructive feedback to students Contacts students re: supplies, weather, etc. Evaluates and documents student performance using established methods, rubrics and criteria Submits accurate time sheets, rosters, attendance records Conducts routine inventories and requisitions supplies Monitors the proper use of equipment Checks equipment for needed repair Email communication with students and college administration Strong portfolio in fused glass Experience teaching adults Current knowledge of studio safety
