Job Description
Seeking a Teachers' Assistant to work alongside Acting Teacher in our after-school program for children ages 5-13. Candidate needs to be self-starting, organized, extremely reliable, energetic and very good with children. The most important aspect of the job is being very active with the kids. It is very hands-on. It includes running theater games, doing scene reviews, organizing and running entrances and costumes backstage, setting up before class and cleaning up after. Most importantly, a successful Candidate will have an enthusiastic attitude and be able to learn our teaching style. The philosophy of our Company is to build each student's self-esteem with patience and a spirit of fun, and successful Candidates will be able to work in accord with this philosophy. We have openings weekdays, 3:45-7pm depending on the day and class you choose. Classes start late-Sept and run through mid-Dec. On the final day of class there is a performance, so those days times run until 8:30pm.
