A Drama Teacher teaches dramatic art skills to elementary and secondary school students. Commonly produces plays, helps direct productions, and instructs and aids students in acting, costuming, lighting, stage management and set design. Usually requires previous theatre experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Teach students how to maintain and operate lighting, stage and other technical equipment and systems Teach students the basic elements of lighting design for theatre and dance productions Inform students of the technical aspects of theatre including event load in, set-ups, strikes Supervise projects that could include rigging and strike of theatrical lighting and overall stage set up for a variety of events and productions - including theatre productions, symphonies, dance events and other productions to prepare students for future opportunities within their field Show students how to read and interpret drawings and plots Develop sketches and schematics Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience in ETC Ion programming Demonstrated ability to program moving lights and LED lighting equipment Strong knowledge of and experience with Networking and IP protocol as well as dimmer-less lighting systems Demonstrated flexible collaborative style (ability to adapt to diverse production modes and needs) Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Competency (professional or academic) in Sound Engineering or Sound Design mentorship Proficiency in After Effects, Adobe PremierePro, and QLab for audio and projection production uses
