AFTERSCHOOL
times between 2:30-5:30 or 3-5pm as well as other times weekdays only ( no mornings ). We are seeking passionate and energetic Dance Teachers and Musical Theater Teachers to inspire and nurture the next generation of performers. In this dynamic role, you will design engaging curricula, lead captivating dance and musical theater classes, and foster a love for the arts among students of all ages. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help students develop their skills, confidence, and creativity through innovative instruction and supportive mentorship. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development tailored to various age groups and skill levels in dance and musical theater. Lead energetic classes focused on dance instruction, choreography, theatrical performance techniques, and musical theater skills. Manage classroom environments effectively by applying strong classroom management strategies to ensure a positive learning atmosphere. Work closely with students to improve their technical skills, stage presence, and artistic expression through personalized feedback and encouragement. Incorporate experience working with children into lesson delivery to foster growth, confidence, and a love for the arts. Teach visual & performing arts components, including dance, acting, singing, and choreography, emphasizing creativity and teamwork. Support students' development by integrating additional skills such as musical instruments, singing techniques, or photography when relevant. Requirements Proven experience in teaching dance instruction, choreography, or musical theater at various levels. Strong background in curriculum development for arts education programs. Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively while engaging students actively in learning. Experience working with children or youth programs with a focus on creative arts instruction. Knowledge of theater experience, including stage performance techniques and theatrical storytelling. Skills in teaching music or instrumental performance are highly desirable. Familiarity with childhood development principles to tailor lessons appropriately for different age groups. Additional expertise in sewing, culinary arts, karate, debate, coding or photography is a plus but not required. Join us to ignite passion for the arts! $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
