2997288020-2 Apply for this job now Job Description The Auto Club of Southern California, a leading AAA motor club and insurer, is seeking a Driving School Instructor to deliver safe, high-quality driver education to members. In this field-based role, you will provide both behind-the-wheel and classroom instruction, teaching California traffic laws, insurance-related risk awareness, and defensive driving practices. You will evaluate student skills, document progress, and ensure strict safety standards. Responsibilities Provide behind-the-wheel and classroom driving instruction following state laws and company standards Ensure student and public safety through constant vigilance and defensive driving best practices Evaluate student driving skills and provide clear, constructive feedback Maintain accurate training records, progress notes, and required compliance documentation Communicate professionally with members, parents, and internal teams about training schedules and performance Operate training vehicles safely, performing basic inspections before and after lessons Stay current on California traffic laws, DMV regulations, and road safety practices Support Auto Club safety and community initiatives as needed Required Skills Behind-the-wheel driver instruction Classroom driver education Knowledge of state driving laws and regulations Defensive driving techniques Student safety and risk management Lesson planning and documentation Assessment and progress reporting Customer service in member-focused setting Basic computer and scheduling systems Incident reporting and compliance
