Job Description

BLS Instructor Trauma Life Care Medical Transport Hopewell CPR Training is seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-time American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for teaching essential life-saving skills at our campus locations and traveling to on-demand training sites in other regions as needed. This role requires a dynamic instructor with a strong passion for education and exceptional organizational and administrative abilities. Key Responsibilities As a BLS Instructor, you will manage all aspects of the training process, from class preparation to course completion and quality control.
Your duties will include:
Instruction and Student Management Conducting routine location-hosted classes, on-demand on-site classes, and assisting in large classes. Managing CPR training classes, including understanding upcoming class logistics and assisting with preparation. Ensuring students are up to date with their schedule and sending reminders. Maintaining a high level of proficiency in all AHA BLS skills. Ensuring an optimal learning experience and skill mastery for all students. Training Center Support & Administration Being accessible always during business hours via personal phone (call or text) for communication and coordination. Physical location management, including office and classroom upkeep. Maintaining and ensuring the upkeep of tech and A/V equipment. Being responsible for roster and payment collection and processing. Managing supplies and inventory for your location. Ensuring all course paperwork is completed properly and adhering to AHA guidelines. Collecting and processing student reviews and instructor evaluations. Keeping track of company updates, and dispersing knowledge to staff and students. Identifying gaps/needs in training or operations and creating solutions. Instructor Development & Quality Control Participating in the new instructor hire process. Teaching and mentoring new instructors/candidates. Shadowing classes for continued learning and/or oversight. Monitoring student instructors for their initial teaching requirement to achieve their full AHA Instructor status. Minimum Requirements and Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the American Heart Association's requirements for a
BLS Instructor:
AHA/Certification RequirementsHopewell CPR Training Requirements Current AHA Instructor Certification in the discipline(s) you intend to teach (e.g., BLS).Must be able to travel to teach at our campus locations and be available to travel to other regions for on-site classes as needed. Current AHA BLS Provider course completion card and be proficient in all the skills of BLS.Must be accessible during business hours via personal phone (call or text).
Minimum Age:
Be at least 18 years of age. Must demonstrate proficiency in all administrative and operational duties listed in the job description.
Training Center Alignment:
Be accepted by and aligned with an authorized AHA Training Center (Hopewell CPR Training). Excellent Time Management and Organizational Skills.

Successful Completion of the BLS Instructor Essentials Course (online and hands-on portions). Attention to Detail for accurate paperwork, roster management, and equipment upkeep. Successful Monitoring while teaching an AHA BLS Course within the required timeframe after the instructor course. Proven problem-solving skills to identify gaps/needs and create solutions. Proficiency in the skills of BLS.In-depth knowledge of the CPR industry and its current events. Strong ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and still prioritize and triage obligations.
