Founded in 1919, our exceptional person-centered programs and services have supported individuals in living creative, productive, joyful, and healthy lives for more than a century. Cedars Textile Collaborative (TAC) offers Cedars clients fun, inspiring, and creative day programs. We are currently looking for a compassionate and skilled part-time Senior Program Instructor to join our Senior Program! As a Senior Program Instructor, you will work with Cedars clients to determine and plan meaningful daily activities that promote engagement, creativity, and connection. Activities may include community-based projects, volunteer opportunities, and on-site music, art, and other creative projects. The TAC Program is set on more than two dozen acres overlooking San Anselmo. This beautiful, remote property includes a community garden, art barn studio space, upgraded kitchen, weaving studio, and more! This position will require some degree of hands-on caregiving (including assistance with personal hygiene, toileting, etc.) based on each participant's individual needs. If you are a patient, supportive, and creative individual who wants to help others succeed and enjoy meaningful daily experiences, we encourage you to apply! The hours for the Senior Instructor are Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. / The hours for the Garden Instructor are Fridays from 8 AM - 4:00 PM. The rate of pay is $21.75/hour. Experience working with developmentally disabled people is preferred. Experience with or willingness to learn to provide direct caregiving when needed. Experience leading, advising, organizing, and motivating groups of people. Excellent attendance and punctuality. The ability to teach and provide skills in the program areas offered at TAC. Willingness to pitch in when/where needed. Ability to pass an employment physical including a TB test, and to meet the physical requirements of the job. A valid DMV driver's license, a minimum of 3 years of driving experience, and a willingness to drive a passenger van. CPR and First Aid certifications or the willingness to acquire both. Ability to pass a criminal background check with the FBI and DOJ. A good sense of humor is a plus!
