A Driving Instructor is responsible for teaching students the rules of the road and the safe way to handle an automobile or motorcycle. This may involve both classroom and/or behind the wheel instruction. They are required to remain up to date with their regional and national traffic laws to insure proper curriculum and demonstration. Some inform their students on the process to obtain a valid driver's license in their region or nation.

Job Description

AllGood Driving School is currently hiring driving instructors for part time. No previous experience is required. We will provide the certification course free of charge to the right person. Applicants must enjoy working with teens and be sociable, patient, and friendly. When school is not in session, the days and hours are flexible. During the school year, the instructor may choose their days, but the hours must be until 8:20 pm on any weekdays chosen and between the hours of 9 am and 9pm on any weekend days chosen. They must select enough shifts to cover at least 20-30 hours per week. We are only looking for long term or seasonally returning applicants as the hiring and training process is involved. We are looking for an independent, self-motivated, and responsible person. Reliability is a must. Our drivers live in the areas they work, so we are seeking applicants who live in an area between Windsor and Santa Rosa. Applicants must meet the following requirements:
  • Held a valid drivers license for a minimum of ten years
  • High School Diploma or GED, and be able to present it
  • Have a clean record - all ten prints are taken
  • Have a clean driving record (includes no traffic violations, accidents, claims, DUI) for past 4-10 years
  • Pass a medical exam
  • Have a home internet connection
  • Have reliable transportation to get to/from work. We provide the training vehicle.
  • Be able to present a solid work history with references that can be verified This is an independent position that is very fun and rewarding.
Teaching teens to drive may be one of the most important lessons they will ever learn. It literally saves lives! The time flies by, and instructors go home really feeling like they made a difference in the life of a teen and for their community. This position is great for retired law enforcement and retired educators, or anyone who enjoys working with people/teens, and likes to have some control over their schedule.
