Position Overview Cherokee Freight Lines is seeking an experienced Driver Safety Trainer to provide hands-on training, orientation, coaching, and ongoing safety support for our commercial drivers. This position may be based at either our Stockton main office or Madera yard . Regular travel between both locations is required. An employee based in Madera will regularly work from the Stockton main office, while an employee based in Stockton will travel to Madera based on training and operational needs. Occasional travel to other company locations may also be required. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Class A CDL with a tanker endorsement and have experience training drivers in tanker operations. This role is responsible for supporting regulatory compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and delivering new-hire and ongoing driver training. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to communicate effectively with our workforce. Key Responsibilities Conduct classroom, behind-the-wheel, and hands-on training for Class A commercial drivers. Train drivers on tanker operations, loading and unloading procedures, equipment inspections, and the safe handling of food-grade and bulk wine products. Conduct new-hire orientation, road evaluations, remedial training, and on-the-job coaching. Provide defensive-driving instruction using Smith System principles. Evaluate driver performance and identify areas requiring additional coaching or training. Reinforce compliance with

Required Qualifications Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement. At least three years of commercial Class A driving experience. Tanker hauling experience.
