Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Certified Driving Instructor to join our team and inspire safe, confident drivers of all ages. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive driving lessons that cover a wide range of skills, from basic vehicle operation to advanced driving techniques. Your expertise will help students develop responsible driving habits, adhere to traffic regulations, and navigate various road conditions safely. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on learners' lives while promoting traffic safety and responsible driving practices. Responsibilities Conduct engaging and informative driving lessons for students of diverse backgrounds, including teen drivers, adult learners, and individuals with special needs. Teach essential driving skills such as standard passenger car operation, highway maneuvers, night driving, adverse weather techniques, and off-road instruction. Provide classroom instruction on traffic laws, defensive driving strategies, driver improvement programs, and traffic safety education. Assess student progress through practical evaluations and tailor instruction to meet individual learning styles and needs. Maintain clear communication with students regarding their development and areas for improvement. Ensure all lessons adhere to local traffic laws and safety standards while fostering a positive learning environment. Keep accurate records of student progress, lesson plans, and certification requirements. Qualifications Valid certification as a Driving Instructor with proven experience in driver instruction and client communication. Extensive knowledge of traffic regulations, highway safety protocols, and defensive driving techniques. Demonstrated ability to teach both practical driving skills and theoretical traffic safety concepts effectively. Experience working with diverse student populations including teens, adults, seniors, and individuals requiring special needs driver instruction. Strong classroom management skills combined with excellent communication abilities to engage students in online or in-person settings. Proficiency in operating standard passenger vehicles as well as motorcycles; experience with manual transmissions is preferred. Ability to instruct in various conditions including adverse weather scenarios and night driving environments. Knowledge of off-road driving instruction techniques and rehabilitation programs for drivers needing improvement or re-entry into safe driving practices.
