Overview We are looking for a motivated, responsible, and enthusiastic Driving School Instructor to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people of all ages and wants to make a meaningful impact by helping new drivers develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to become safe and responsible drivers. Previous experience as a driving instructor or in the education field is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate and provide guidance and assistance throughout the certification process. As a Driving School Instructor, you will provide both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to teen and adult students. You will teach essential driving skills, traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and safe driving practices while preparing students for their road tests and driver's licenses. Responsibilities Provide professional and engaging driving instruction to teen and adult learners. Conduct behind-the-wheel training in a safe, patient, and supportive environment. Teach students proper vehicle operation, traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and safe driving habits. Prepare students for their state road test by helping them develop the skills and confidence necessary to successfully obtain their driver's license. Adapt instruction to meet the individual needs, learning styles, and skill levels of each student as some have special needs. Teach essential driving skills including parking, lane changes, turns, intersections, highway driving, merging, and other common driving situations. Provide instruction on safe driving practices in a variety of traffic and road conditions. Evaluate student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback. Maintain a professional and positive relationship with students and their families. Follow all applicable traffic laws, safety procedures, and driving school policies. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional training environment. Complete required instructor training and certification with support and guidance from the company. Qualifications & Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean and responsible driving record. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, dependable, professional, and comfortable working with people of different ages and backgrounds. Ability to remain calm and professional while teaching new or inexperienced drivers. Previous experience as a driving instructor, educator, trainer, or in a related field is preferred but not required. Willingness to complete required training and obtain any necessary driving instructor certifications. Must be committed to promoting safe, responsible, and defensive driving practices.
