  • Summary The USCG Approved Instructor is responsible for delivering U.
S. Coast Guard-approved maritime training courses, including RADAR/ARPA, ECDIS, and other assigned programs. The instructor prepares lesson plans, teaches classroom instruction, administers exams, and evaluates student performance while maintaining a safe, professional learning environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and deliver maritime training courses. Teach USCG-approved courses such as RADAR/ARPA and ECDIS. Administer and grade examinations. Maintain accurate training records. Support additional training needs as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid
USCG 500
Ton License. Dynamic Positioning (DP) Certificate from the Nautical Institute. Strong communication, presentation, and computer skills. Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English. Preferred Qualifications Lifeboatman and Proficiency in Survival Craft (PSC) endorsements. Experience serving aboard vessels equipped with lifeboats or equivalent military experience. Previous instructional or maritime training experience. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable maritime professional with strong teaching, leadership, communication, and organizational skills who is committed to safety, quality instruction, and student success.
