A Driving Instructor is responsible for teaching students the rules of the road and the safe way to handle an automobile or motorcycle. This may involve both classroom and/or behind the wheel instruction. They are required to remain up to date with their regional and national traffic laws to insure proper curriculum and demonstration. Some inform their students on the process to obtain a valid driver's license in their region or nation.

Job Description

The Workforce Solutions outreach of Hagerstown Community College is regularly looking for subject matter experts in a variety of topics, including: Skilled Trades, including Registered Apprenticeship Transportation, including CDL, Driver Education, and Motorcycle Safety Technology, primarily Microsoft Office topics Applicants should have existing experience teaching adult audiences and have at least five years of experience in their content areas. This position is considered open until filled. Applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled and considered closed. The College seeks to hire the best qualified candidate for each position. To support this philosophy and objective, the Human Resource Department provides a process to allow for a comprehensive search of candidates, inclusive of internal and external applicants.
