This may involve both classroom and/or behind the wheel instruction. They are required to remain up to date with their regional and national traffic laws to insure proper curriculum and demonstration. Some inform their students on the process to obtain a valid driver's license in their region or nation.

Job Description

A clean driving record with no DUI offenses (minor citations are acceptable) Patience and the ability to effectively teach 15-17-year-old students Availability for at least two weekend days per month Previous teaching, coaching, or tutoring experience is preferred but not required Flexible hours, with 10-40 hours per week based on your availability To become a certified driving instructor in Minnesota, candidates must pass a background check and achieve an 80% or higher score on a test covering Minnesota driving laws (this may require 4-6 hours of study time) Primary driving instructor position available with the need to work after school hours (Monday-Friday after 3 PM) or on weekends. Any time during the summer or school breaks. Compensation Weekend and evening lessons (Monday-Friday after 3 PM) are paid at $24 per hour Other hours are paid at $22 per hour Paid Training $300 bonus after certification is attained.
