Job Summary We are in the process of opening a new driving school and are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Licensed Driving Instructor to inspire safe, confident, and responsible drivers of all ages. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive driving instruction both in classroom settings and behind the wheel, ensuring students develop essential skills for navigating diverse traffic conditions. Your expertise will foster a positive learning environment, emphasizing traffic safety, defensive driving techniques, and adherence to traffic regulations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape future drivers while promoting road safety and responsible driving habits. Duties Conduct engaging classroom sessions covering traffic laws, safety procedures, and driving best practices for diverse learner groups, including teens and adults. Provide personalized behind-the-wheel instruction in standard passenger cars, motorcycles, and off-road environments to develop practical driving skills. Teach advanced driving techniques such as highway maneuvers, night driving, adverse weather handling, and special needs driver instruction. Demonstrate safe driving practices through personal driving instruction, including manual transmission operation and motorcycle safety protocols. Assess student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback to enhance their confidence and competence on the road. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations and safety standards during all instructional activities. Utilize online platforms for remote instruction sessions when applicable, ensuring flexible learning options for students. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals, address concerns, and provide tailored guidance for driver improvement or rehabilitation programs. Experience Proven experience in senior driver instruction with a strong background in teaching diverse learner populations. Classroom management skills with experience delivering adult education or classroom-based training sessions. Hands-on operation of standard passenger vehicles and motorcycles, including manual transmissions. Demonstrated ability to instruct on highway maneuvers, night driving techniques, adverse weather handling, and off-road driving scenarios. Familiarity with traffic safety instruction methods and defensive driving principles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and backgrounds. Experience working with individuals requiring special needs driver instruction or participating in driver rehabilitation programs is a plus.
