Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Driver Trainer to lead the development and certification of our professional drivers. Duties Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel training sessions for new and existing drivers, focusing on commercial truck driving, and tractor-trailer operation Teach and reinforce traffic laws, FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safety protocols Develop tailored training curriculum Evaluate driver performance through practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to improve skills and ensure compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory updates to continuously improve training content and delivery methods Collaborate with terminal management to identify training needs and develop targeted programs that enhance overall driver safety and efficiency Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including tractor-trailer operations Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, traffic laws, and safety standards applicable to commercial transportation Demonstrated ability in commercial driving instruction with classroom teaching experience preferred Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Experience in adult education or teaching adults in a classroom setting is highly desirable Ability to create and manage training programs and manage the LMS.
