Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated CDL Instructor to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the next generation of professional drivers. As a CDL Instructor, you could deliver comprehensive classroom and/or behind-the-wheel training to aspiring commercial truck drivers, ensuring they meet all safety, operational, and regulatory standards. Your expertise will help students develop the skills necessary to operate various commercial vehicles confidently and responsibly, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and
DOT, OTSO
(Ohio Traffic Safety Office) regulations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your knowledge, inspire learners, and contribute to the transportation industry's safety and excellence. Responsibilities Options to conduct engaging classroom instruction on traffic laws, commercial driving techniques, FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, and safe driving practices for tractor-trailers, buses, and other commercial vehicles Lead hands-on behind-the-wheel training sessions focusing on manual transmission operation, air brake systems, and other specialized vehicle features Assess student progress through practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback to enhance their driving skills Ensure all training activities comply with FMCSA and DOT regulations, including safety protocols related to air brake systems Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance assessments, and certification progress in accordance with regulatory standards Stay current with industry updates on traffic laws, trucking regulations, and best practices for commercial driving instruction Foster a positive learning environment that encourages safety awareness, professionalism, and continuous improvement among students Skills Extensive experience in truck driving, including tractor-trailer operations with manual transmissions and air brake systems Familiarity with commercial vehicle safety procedures Excellent communication skills for clear instruction on traffic laws, traffic laws enforcement, and safe driving techniques Ability to evaluate student performance accurately and provide motivational guidance Join us as a CDL Instructor and make a lasting impact by preparing skilled drivers who prioritize safety on the roads.
