Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Commercial Driving Instructor to inspire and educate aspiring commercial drivers. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive training programs that combine practical driving skills with essential safety and regulatory knowledge. Your enthusiasm and expertise will empower students to confidently operate commercial vehicles, ensuring they meet industry standards and licensing requirements. Responsibilities Deliver engaging classroom lessons on traffic laws, safety procedures, vehicle maintenance, and industry regulations tailored to adult learners Conduct practical driving sessions on various commercial vehicles, providing clear instructions and constructive feedback Develop customized training plans that address individual student needs and skill levels Manage classroom activities effectively, maintaining discipline and encouraging active participation Assess student progress through evaluations, tests, and practical demonstrations to ensure competency Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and certification status Communicate clearly with students, colleagues, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and support continuous improvement Requirements Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles such as trucks, buses, or delivery vans with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) or equivalent certification Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage adult learners in both classroom and practical settings Excellent communication skills to convey instructions effectively and foster a positive learning atmosphere Classroom management experience to oversee diverse groups of students confidently Knowledge of industry safety standards, traffic laws, and licensing procedures relevant to commercial driving Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed for training sessions Prior experience working with students or in adult education environments is highly desirable Join us in shaping the next generation of professional drivers!
