A Driving Instructor is responsible for teaching students the rules of the road and the safe way to handle an automobile or motorcycle. This may involve both classroom and/or behind the wheel instruction. They are required to remain up to date with their regional and national traffic laws to insure proper curriculum and demonstration. Some inform their students on the process to obtain a valid driver's license in their region or nation.

Job Description

Hamrick School has been training students to obtain their Class A License since 1980. We have over 10,000 graduates and partner with over 50 trucking companies without a contract offering freedom of choice. Our grads work at local, teamster companies, utility companies, cities, county, regional, dedicated and long-haul positions in Ohio and beyond. We are looking for an experienced truck driver to join our team as a driving instructor!! The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing students according to the school curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, organized, and committed to providing excellent instruction to our students. Instructors holding a current ODPS Class A Instructor License are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Follow and teach all safety regulations and procedures per school curriculum. Maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Teach and assisting in performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
