Job Description

Seeking a manhole technician to start as soon as possible, based out of Wilsonville, Oregon.
Starting pay:
$24/hour. Includes prevailing wage opportunities
Schedule:
Approximately 40-60 hours/ week, Monday- Friday, paid monthly
Benefits:
Birthdays off work (paid 8hrs), 401k offered after set period, performance-based raises (+$1-$2/hr)
Additionally:
Employees will be submitted to a DOT driving history check, to ensure a good driving record to operate company vehicles. Failure to pass DOT driving history check will not allow the employee to drive company trucks, or continue with the hiring process. •Minor driving infractions may not hinder outcome.• Employees will not be using personal vehicles for work purposes.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation to/from work Must have a valid driver's license and pass DOT driving history check (employee will be driving company vehicles) Pass a drug test during the pre-employment screening, maintaining drug-free during operating hours Physically able to: Bend, stretch, kneel, squat, lift, climb, with adequate flexibility Complete necessary OSHA trainings and certifications as needed Not claustrophobic or acrophobic Team player, willing to assist as needed Motivated without instruction with a strong work ethic Ability to think outside the box with creative solutions in time sensitive situations Job duties include: Pour/ shovel concrete off flatbed trucks into manholes Hand form concrete with tools to create "channels" for storm water or grey water manholes to flow through Test pipes for continuity Leak stop manholes and conduct repairs Assisting in vactor truck operations Assisting manhole technician by performing "top guy" duties such as lowering/ reeling up buckets to employee in manhole Driving to/from concrete yards, loading concrete onto trucks while maintaining safety protocols Maintain a safe working environment and ensure the safety of others Workdays start between 4-7am, with varying tasks every day. No experience required, only a strong work drive to learn and be proud of the work accomplished. Employees will have Christmas Eve through New Years Day off work, every year. On employee's birthday, they will take the day off and receive 8 hours of work paid.
