Sun Transportation Systems (STS) is hiring a results-driven CDL Driver Recruiter to support the growth of our nationwide fleet. This role combines driver recruiting, onboarding, and training , making it ideal for someone who understands both driver mindset and DOT compliance. This position offers a fully remote work arrangement for candidates in San Antonio, TX , with a requirement to travel to our Dallas office once per quarter for mandatory quarterly meetings. You will play a key role in attracting, onboarding, and developing professional drivers while ensuring safety, retention, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Target Goal for recruiting 5 Onboarded Drivers/ Lease purchase/Owner Operators/Team Drivers per week. Maintain strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements. Conduct driver interviews, road tests, and new-hire orientations. Develop sourcing strategies (job boards, social media, referrals, driver events). Attend job fairs, recruiting events, and trucking expos. Run ads to promote and market the STS brand to attract quality drivers (company-funded). Collaborate with planners and dispatchers to forecast hiring needs. Track and report hiring KPIs (cost per hire, time to hire, turnover rate, etc.) Maintain accurate driver files and compliance documentation Conduct OTR evaluations when required The duties are non-exhaustive and are subject to changes at the Employer's sole discretion
Qualifications:
Required:
1+ year experience in driver recruiting. Bilingual (Spanish). Strong knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Preferred (Strong Assets): Experience as a CDL driver or driver trainer Experience with Samsara ELD Experience conducting road tests or OTR evaluations Class A CDL (not required but highly preferred)
