Job Description

As a unit, we are broadly interested in the way people make decisions, how individuals and groups interact and negotiate, and the design and functioning of incentives and markets. The NOM Unit is interdisciplinary and has faculty members with backgrounds in economics, psychology, and organizational behavior, among others. Our research interests include Negotiation, Decision making, Trust, Emotions, and Cognitive processes. We are responsible for teaching a variety of MBA and executive education courses related to negotiation, organizational economics, behavioral economics, and decision-making. We also teach doctoral courses and work closely with doctoral students in the organizational behavior program and in the business economics program (which is joint with the Department of Economics). Qualifications Harvard Business School seeks innovative applicants with backgrounds in psychology, organizational behavior, or related disciplines for a tenure-track faculty appointment in its Negotiation, Organizations & Markets (NOM) Unit. The optimal candidate will be interested in understanding and solving real-world problems using rigorous research methods.
