Job Description
Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School's Accounting Group in Cambridge is seeking to fill one tenure-track faculty position, effective July 1, 2027 , or as soon thereafter as possible. Outstanding senior level applicants will also be considered, and should apply through this page. We stress high research potential or achievement; faculty responsibilities include conducting original scholarly research in accounting or related topics, teaching introductory accounting as well as more specialized courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. The pay range for a 9-month academic appointment at the entry-level Assistant Professor rank (excluding summer salary): $225,000 - $254,000, and for a senior-level Professor rank is $317,000 - $498,000. The pay offered to a selected candidate during hiring will be based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience and education/training, internal peer equity, and applicable legal requirements. These factors impact where an individual's pay falls within a range. Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check, including verifying any finding of misconduct (or pending investigation) from prior employers.
