Job Summary This position serves as the lead support for the Welcome Desk in the Enrollment Center, assisting students with admissions, records, and registration services while maintaining a high standard of customer service and ensuring compliance with FERPA regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing daily Welcome Desk operations, maintaining informational materials, monitoring service flow, and operating student ID equipment. Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn are essential. Essential Functions 30
  • Supports Welcome Desk and Enrollment Center lobby with a strong focus on customer service, quick response times, and referrals to other related student service areas 30%.
Assists new and continuing students with all aspects of the admissions, records, and registration functions. Update student records as required, following FERPA (Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act) while adhering to any other applicable laws, policies, rules, or regulations 20
  • Lead welcome desk operations by keeping forms, maps, and other documents stocked and organized, ensure coverage flow between Welcome Desk and Lobby, operate student ID machine, monitor queue statuses and log welcome desk service transactions. 10%
  • Works in a team environment, attends meetings, provides functional support for A&R management team and may serve on committees or be assigned to document imaging records, or compose, edit and prepare correspondence. 5%
  • Assist with small group campus tours, including preparing materials and facilitating tours for new and prospective students 5%
  • Performs other related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Desired Qualifications A.
One (1) or more years of experience working in student engagement/leadership, community service, volunteer work, or other extracurricular activities. B. One (2) or more years of working experience providing customer service. C. Experience using a variety of computer software applications including databases, cloud-based programs (Google Drive), Microsoft Office, and/or other similar programs. D. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse individuals. Comfortable learning and using computer systems and navigating online platforms. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow policies and procedures, including those related to privacy and confidentiality.
