Jul 1, 2026 Job Description Summary/Objective Provide assistance to the Principal in overseeing the functions of student management relating to student tardy and attendance issues, assessment testing, and scheduling. Serve as the school's athletic director. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: Respond to all internal and external customers, as it relates to the job, in a prompt, efficient, friendly, and patient manner Administer a program of student discipline and interact with students to encourage positive performance Assist with school staff evaluations Assist in the management of building staff, including class schedules and building problems Assist in scheduling special events during the school day Assist with the development and coordination of the master schedule Provide general supervision to students Supervise extracurricular activities, ensuring the District's policies are followed Oversee all areas of the school's athletic programming to include developing the athletic budget Coordinate transportation for athletic events Oversee fundraising Manage the schedule of athletic contests and coordinate with the state association for officials Coordinate the distribution of awards and purchase of athletic equipment Establish rapport and working relationships with parents, students, and non-school athletic programs Maintain the confidentiality of protected student and staff member information even after no longer employed Maintain knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations, and rules Perform related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent manner Other Duties This job description is not a comprehensive listing of duties, responsibilities, or activities that are required of the employee for this job. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Regularly required to communicate Regularly required to remain stationary, type and focus on a computer screen for long periods of time Regularly required to be mobile Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, exempt position contracted for 172 days between July and June. Extended work hours to meet deadlines may regularly be required. Required Education and Experience Master's or more advanced degree from an accredited university or college with completion of a program in educational leadership Five years of successful teaching or administrative experience or combination thereof Preferred Education and Experience Experience in managing and overseeing a department Required Certifications/LicensesValid Arizona Administrative Certificate:
Interim Supervisor or Standard Professional Supervisor, PreK-12 Certificate or Interim Principal or Standards Professional Principal, PreK-12 Certificate Valid driver's license Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.Position Type:
