Job Description
Yavapai County School Superintendents Office is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse . Previous school nurse experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to supporting the health, safety, and well-being of all students and staff while fostering a positive learning environment. This is a contract position, and benefits will be determined by the employment contract. Hiring range is $38.00 to $42.00 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications. Analyzes student immunization records for state mandated compliance. Administers vaccines following Center for Disease Control guidelines; Manages vaccine storage in compliance with Federal Vaccine for Children program. Consults and counsels families, school staff, and medical providers regarding specific health needs of students. Transcribes student health data to student health records. Participates in Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings for student health needs. Serves as a resource to school administrators for student health procedures. Accesses immunization records through the Arizona State Immunization Information System. Reviews and evaluates current school health needs; Provides education to students and staff regarding health and safety topics. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
