GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and implements the ELL program and curriculum in alignment with all legal and state parameters. Serves as AZELLA District Testing Coordinator. Provides programmatic support to other Student Services divisions and works with the Director to develop enhanced systems of supports for students and staff, department-wide.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list is illustrative only and is not a complete listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this job class. Management of Title III Grant & Budget, including submission of requisitions and ordering of materials or PD registrations/travel; Coordinate staffing and supply needs; Attend OELAS Trainings and bring information back to District/Sites. Provide training and coaching to ELL Teachers and ELL Coaches to improve student outcomes and proficiency; Oversee parent withdrawals; Collaborate with site counselors for scheduling of students served through ELL Check ELL teacher lesson plans for compliance; Organize and oversee parent engagement activities; Maintain ELL Pro/add and delete students; Run ELL 70 report for each student based on their HLS/Enrollment; Report participation counts to ADE; Inform/work with all schools regarding placement & assessment results for new students; Enter all needs on PowerSchool; Correct any integrity errors on Power School; Keep track of school caseloads, including those students who are just being monitored; Register all students through Pearson for testing; Identify all students for Spring AZELLA testing; Order all AZELLA test materials, coordinate disbursing and returning all tests on time; Provide all testing training for teachers and test coordinators; Assist with administering tests and scoring all K-2 placement tests; Assist Professional Development Department with ELL trainings, support structures, & instructional strategies; Conducts walkthrough observations and provides feedback to Director/Site Principal in effort to enhance instructional practices in targeted and integrated instruction according to OELAS requirements Conducts walkthrough observations and provides feedback to Director/Site Principal in effort to enhance instructional practices and interventions (UDL, Tiered Interventions, HLPs, EEI, Etcetera) Provides department-wide programmatic supports as assigned by Director Creates and facilitates coaching and training initiatives, department-wide Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Valid Arizona teaching certification; SEI or equivalent Endorsement required; Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum qualifications and state certification requirements will be accepted. Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization;

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
C. REASONING
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
D. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
Must use sound judgment in performing work.
