We help students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and develop a love for learning through personalized instruction and a positive learning environment. We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and personable Assistant Center Director to support operations across two Mathnasium locations (Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa). This is a leadership and customer-facing role focused primarily on center operations, family communication, sales support, and team leadership , alongside involvement in our students' math education and overall learning experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with students and families, thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and is interested in growing into a larger leadership role within Mathnasium. What You'll DoLeadership & Center Operations Help manage day-to-day operations across two Mathnasium locations (Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa) Support the Center Directors in keeping each center organized, productive, and running smoothly Assist with staff scheduling, training, and administrative responsibilities Help lead and support instructors during center hours Maintain a positive, energetic, and accountable team culture Help ensure a professional, welcoming, and engaging environment for students and families Take initiative in identifying and solving day-to-day operational needs Sales & Customer Service Communicate regularly with currently enrolled families and prospective customers Respond to leads and support prospective families throughout the enrollment process Assist with sales calls, enrollment conversations, and parent meetings Build strong relationships with prospective and current families Help address questions and customer concerns professionally and positively Support center performance by helping achieve enrollment, retention, and revenue goals Follow up with families and help ensure they have a great experience with Mathnasium Student & Educational Support While this is primarily an Assistant Center Director position, you will also be involved in the educational side of our centers. Work directly with students in grades K-12 Support the educational quality and overall student experience across both centers Assist with student assessments, learning plans, and progress Provide instructional support as needed, particularly with elementary and foundational math Help ensure students are engaged, supported, and having a positive experience at Mathnasium What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Enjoys working with children, parents, and families Is outgoing, confident, personable, and comfortable starting conversations Has excellent customer service and communication skills Is comfortable with sales conversations and speaking with prospective customers Can multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Demonstrates leadership potential, ownership, and accountability Is reliable, professional, proactive, and willing to take initiative Is confident with basic math skills Enjoys being part of a team and helping others succeed Wants to grow into greater leadership responsibility over time Qualifications Strong basic math proficiency required Bachelor's degree preferred Previous experience in customer service, sales, leadership, education, tutoring, teaching, or childcare preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable speaking with parents and participating in enrollment conversations Ability to balance customer service, leadership, administrative, and occasional instructional responsibilities Must be available weekday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays Schedule Approximately 32 hours per week Monday through Thursday, approximately 12:00 PM-7:00 PM Saturdays, approximately 12:00 PM-3:00 PM Hours are shared between two Mathnasium locations (Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa) Compensation & Growth $20-$21/hour starting pay 401(k) match Health insurance Leadership development and ongoing training Opportunities for career growth and advancement within Mathnasium Meaningful work with a direct impact on students and families Opportunity to develop experience in leadership, sales, customer service, education, and business operations Why This Role Is Unique The Assistant Center Director plays an important role in the day-to-day success of our centers by supporting our families, students, staff, and Center Directors.
