We are looking for an experienced and responsible Academic Operations & Student Success Coordinator to support student progress, academic quality, parent communication, and daily center operations. We are especially interested in candidates with previous experience in education, tutoring centers, private schools, or other K-12 academic programs , particularly those who have worked directly with students and parents. Responsibilities Student Success & Parent Communication Monitor student academic progress, attendance, homework completion, and teacher lesson reports Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, academic needs, and concerns Follow up with students who are not making expected progress Handle parent questions and provide ongoing support after enrollment Coordinate class adjustments, academic support, and student needs with teachers and management Support student retention and course renewal Academic Quality & Student Placement Conduct and assist with student placement assessments Help determine appropriate class levels based on placement results and student needs Review lesson reports and monitor curriculum progress Monitor curriculum pacing, homework expectations, and classroom execution Identify academic concerns and follow up with teachers and management Help ensure teaching and curriculum expectations are consistently followed Administration & Center Operations Support daily center operations and student services Assist families with enrollment, scheduling, class changes, attendance, and program questions Maintain accurate student records and administrative documentation Coordinate student check-in/check-out and daily class operations Respond professionally to phone calls, messages, and parent inquiries Coordinate closely with teachers and management Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Previous experience in K-12 education, tutoring centers, private schools, academic programs, or student services strongly preferred Experience communicating directly with parents and students Familiarity with English/Language Arts programs and Speech & Debate programs strongly preferred Ability to understand student academic progress and communicate academic information clearly to parents Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and time-management skills Comfortable reviewing student reports, placement results, and curriculum progress Professional, responsible, and comfortable handling parent concerns Proficient with Google Workspace and general office technology Mandarin-English bilingual preferred Must be available to work on-site in Irvine Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has previously worked in an education-related environment and understands how a K-12 learning center operates. They should be comfortable communicating with parents, understanding students' academic needs, working with teachers, and following student progress over time. Familiarity with English reading and writing programs, test preparation, and Speech & Debate is highly valued. This is not a purely administrative position. We are looking for someone who can combine academic understanding, parent communication, student support, and strong operational follow-through to help ensure students receive a high-quality learning experience.
