Candidate must have proven experience in educational leadership, educational vision and experience and success with at-risk children, demonstrated ability in program design and/or development, entrepreneurial, and interest and commitment to educational reform. Responsibilities/Duties The Principal is responsible for instructional leadership, including developing school direction, in collaboration with fellow Principals and CEO, consistent with ISANA needs and goals. The Principal is responsible for setting and maintaining high standards for student performance. The Principal is responsible for enabling the school to meet the improvement standards and other goals and obligations established in the charter. The Principal shall cooperate, with prior approval from the CEO, with outside evaluators in their efforts to assess the school's performance by establishing strong systems for data management and analysis and making the same available to the evaluators. The Principal shall assist the CEO in developing and implementing a school accountability plan. The Principal must ensure smooth running of daily school operations, which includes managing crises effectively, maintaining discipline and order in the school and most importantly ensuring the overall safety and security of the school. The Principal, in constant communication with fellow ISANA Principals and CEO, shall be the lead person in the implementation of ISANA discipline policies. The Principal is responsible for managing staff and employees at the assigned school site. Managing staff includes utilizing each employee in an effective manner as well as evaluating and responding to professional development needs. The Principal must also conduct periodic evaluations on performance and give feedback in Requirements / Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; and California Teaching Credential;
CLAD or BCLAD California Administrative Services Credential Master's Degree Physical And Environmental Elements:
This position may include long periods of sitting or standing in an environment with moderate noise levels, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. This position is frequently required to stand, sit or walk, use hands and fingers and reach with arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to read printed materials and a computer screen with ability to adjust focus. Communication skills required by this job include the ability to hear and speak. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard, or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries items that typically weigh less than 20 pounds. The position requires the ability to occasionally travel by train, plane, or other means inside and outside of the Los Angeles area. May have occasional exposure to irate parents, staff, and public and private representatives.
SIGNING BONUS NOTICE
This position is eligible for a signing bonus available to eligible new hires only. Current ISANA employees are not eligible for the signing bonus. Payment will be made in installments. Eligibility for each installment requires active employment with ISANA on the payment date. Signing bonuses may be prorated based on start date or unpaid leave status and are subject to applicable taxes. Employees who separate from ISANA prior to the end of a bonus period will not be eligible for that installment.
PAY RANGE NOTICE
The posted pay range represents the full salary range for this classified position. Final placement within the range is contingent upon verification of prior experience through completion of the required Verification of Experience (VOE) form. Credit for prior experience requires verification of qualifying employment and having worked at least 85% of the applicable employment period.
