Job DescriptionWCPA is accepting applications for on-call Classified Substitutes for Instructional Assistants, Small Group Instructors, Expanded Learning Mentors, Office Assistants, and Campus Supervisors. Schedule and hours vary based on assignment. Instructional Assistants' duties:Assist in the planning and implementation of educational, intervention, and enrichment activities that align with program goals.
Support student engagement and positive behavior through organized activities and supervision.
Ensure the safety and supervision of students during school hours.
Assist with record-keeping, including daily attendance, and provide administrative support.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for students and staff.
Collaborate with program staff and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.
Adhere to health and safety protocols in all activities.
Attend professional development sessions and staff meetings as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Office Assistant Duties:
Perform general clerical duties, including answering phones, taking and distributing messages, sorting mail, translating documents, and preparing general correspondenceHelp with filing, data entry, and maintaining student records.Provide support to the leadership team and teachers as necessaryResponsible for department supply order purchases.
Responsible for securing sub coverage for the school site & distributing necessary sub plans/documentationOther office duties as assigned.
Campus Supervisor duties:
Supervise and direct student movement as neededMonitor general campus, parking lots, and adjacent areas to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staffReport unauthorized or suspicious persons, vehicles, and activities to administrative staffAssist with fire drills and other emergency building evacuationsOther supervision duties as assigned. QualificationsExperience working in educational or after-school programs is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds.
Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or equivalent).Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to varying schedules and program needs.

Working Conditions:
Environment:
Office environment; fast-paced work, constant interruptions.Physical requirements: Hearing and speaking to exchange information, make presentations and communicate over the telephone; seeing to read, prepare, and proofread documents and view computer monitors; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment; kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, to retrieve and store files and supplies; lifting light objects; ability to go to sites apart from primary office to conduct business.
