Job Description
Job Summary Under the direction of the Deputy Superintendent, Educational Services or designee, the Director, Special Education provides executive leadership for the District's special education department and serves as the administrator of the Pomona Unified School District single-district Special Education Local Plan Area. The Director plans, organizes, directs, evaluates, and continuously improves a coordinated continuum of special education programs and related services for eligible students from birth through age 22; ensures meaningful parent and community participation; administers the SELPA Local Plan; and ensures compliance with federal and state law, Board policy, collective bargaining agreements, and District standards.
