TK-8 Physical Education Teacher, Athletic Director, and Aftercare Program Director Full-Time Faculty Position |

Position Overview The Presentation School seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher, Athletic Director, and Aftercare Program Director to join our faculty.
This is a unique, multi-dimensional role that combines teaching, program leadership, and community engagement. The person in this role will lead a comprehensive TK-8 physical education program, oversee middle school athletics, and manage after-school and enrichment programming, all in support of a well-rounded student experience.
The ideal candidate is an energetic educator and leader who values collaboration, brings strong organizational skills, and is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive student experience both during and beyond the school day. Key Responsibilities Physical Education Teacher Teach weekly TK-8 physical education classes Design and implement a developmentally appropriate, engaging curriculum Promote physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits Foster an inclusive, safe, and well-managed environment for all students Support students' social and emotional development through movement and play Substitute for colleagues as needed Athletic Director Oversee participation in the Middle School Sports League (MSSL) Attend league meetings and coordinate all aspects of athletic programming Recruit, support, and supervise coaches and volunteers Manage athletic scheduling, equipment, uniforms, and budget Coordinate use of athletic and activity spaces Serve as a positive, visible representative of the school in the broader community Aftercare and Enrichment Program Director Oversee the daily aftercare program (currently Monday-Friday, 3:30-5:00 pm) Manage parent communication, registration systems, and program logistics Supervise and support aftercare staff to ensure consistent and safe student care Design and implement the ASPIRE enrichment program (three sessions annually), including: Program planning and scheduling Recruitment and coordination of faculty and outside providers Registration, communication, and program evaluation Collaborative Leadership and Community Engagement Partner with faculty and administration to support school-wide initiatives Communicate effectively and proactively with students, families, and colleagues Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and mission-aligned school culture Serve as a visible and engaged member of the school community Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; teaching credential or equivalent experience preferred Experience teaching physical education and/or coaching youth sports Experience with program coordination, leadership, or administration preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Warm, engaging presence with students and families Commitment to inclusion, community, and student-centered education Collaborative spirit, flexibility, and growth mindset Requirements Cleared background check TB test clearance First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Schedule and Compensation Full-time, in-person, exempt position Faculty workday typically begins at 7:45 am This role follows a later daily schedule to support after-school programming, with typical hours of approximately 9:30 am•5:30 pm Monday through Friday Regular presence is required during the aftercare program (3:30•5:30 pm) and for occasional evening or weekend athletic or other school events School located in Sonoma, CA (reliable commute required)

Salary Range:
$75,000•$85,000 annually Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
