This role bridges schoolwide leadership with site level coordination, ensuring that daily operations, staff culture, instructional quality, and student support systems align with Taylion Academy's purpose of bringing meaningful opportunities to underserved students. The AP/LLCC provides direct leadership across campus operations, student discipline, staff supervision, enrollment, compliance, and family engagement. With empathy, professionalism, and strategic follow through, this leader strengthens schoolwide initiatives, supports the growth of Learning Center Coordinators, and ensures that every student is seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. Key Responsibilities Campus Operations and Leadership Oversee daily learning center operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and a welcoming school culture Serve as acting site leader in the absence of the Principal or Director of Schools Lead site meetings, PLCs, and professional development sessions Maintain working knowledge of curriculum across grade levels and instructional programs Prepare incident reports, scorecard inputs, and operational documentation Support implementation of schoolwide initiatives, policies, and improvement plans Instructional Support and Student Achievement Support teachers in delivering rigorous, inclusive, and differentiated instruction Assist with MTSS implementation, IEP accommodations, and intervention planning Analyze student achievement, attendance, and engagement data to guide improvement efforts Monitor academic progress and collaborate with staff to re-engage struggling students Promote equitable and inclusive practices across all learning environments Student Support, Behavior, and Discipline Lead student discipline processes using restorative, empathetic, and consistent practices Support behavior intervention plans, safety plans, and crisis response protocols Coordinate orientations, re engagement meetings, and parent conferences related to student conduct Build strong relationships with students and families to promote belonging and accountability Staff Management and Development Supervise, observe, and evaluate non instructional staff and support instructional staff as assigned Assist with hiring processes including interviews, reference checks, and onboarding Monitor staff professionalism, punctuality, and task completion Provide coaching, feedback, and mentoring to Learning Center Coordinators and site staff Prepare staff for upcoming initiatives through clear communication and collaborative planning Enrollment, Outreach, and Community Engagement Support enrollment growth through outreach, marketing, and community partnerships Conduct campus tours, orientations, and enrollment assistance Collaborate with the Enrollment Coordinator and outreach teams to meet schoolwide targets Host campus events to strengthen family and community engagement Represent Taylion Academy at community events and partner organizations Compliance, Safety, and Achievement Monitoring Collaborate with the Director of Compliance to ensure complete, accurate, and audit ready student files Monitor attendance, graduation progress, and assessment participation Coordinate state assessments with a goal of 95 percent or higher completion Schedule and document fire drills, lockdown drills, and safety procedures Maintain up to date knowledge of CCSS, FERPA, SPED, EL, 504, SAPP, and state education laws Support CALPADS, state reporting, and compliance driven initiatives as directed Communication and Family Engagement Maintain clear, timely communication with staff, students, and families Support marketing and outreach efforts through email, SMS, bulletin boards, and social media Manage or support updates to the school website and communication platforms Respond to parent concerns with empathy, professionalism, and solution-oriented follow through Notify families of student inactivity and coordinate pickup of materials, diplomas, and event items Meetings and Cross Department Collaboration Attend leadership meetings, LCC meetings, and outreach and marketing meetings Participate in IEP, 504, SST, and parent teacher conferences as needed Lead staff meetings and collaborate on campus events and initiatives Engage in professional development workshops and leadership planning sessions Work closely with enrollment, compliance, counseling, homeschool, and instructional teams to ensure alignment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Administration, or related field (Master's preferred) Leadership experience in education, student services, or school operations Bilingual in Spanish preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency in SIS, LMS, Google Suite, and digital communication tools Knowledge of educational compliance, charter school operations, and independent study models Ability to lead diverse teams and foster a positive, mission aligned school culture
