The Foundation at RRCC is seeking a student assistant to provide administrative and operational support to advance the mission of the Red Rocks Community College Foundation. This position will assist with office operations, support events, and donor-related administrative tasks while learning more about nonprofit work in higher education. Job duties will include filing, scanning, data entry, administrative support for the Foundation staff, and customer service for students, donors, campus partners, and visitors. This position reports to the Director of Donor Relations and Operations. The work schedule for this position is weekdays, flexible time between 8 am to 5 pm, at the Lakewood location. May require hours outside of normal work schedule. This is a work-study position. This position may work up to 20 hours each week while class is in session an RRCC student, depending on class schedule, need, and budget availability. Student employees are enrolled and contribute to aTIAA-CREF
account when enrolled in less than six credits. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Willingness to expand knowledge and skills related to inclusion and diversity. Good communication, organizational, and attention to detail skills. Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office suite products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment. Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive working and learning environment. Required Qualifications Must be an RRCC student and be eligible for a work-study award for the semester the student is seeking employment and maintain eligibility. Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements. Physical & Cognitive Demands The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position. Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs. This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc. The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills. Advertised Hourly Pay The hourly pay for this position is $19.37 - $19.89, commensurate with education and experience. This is a part-time, FLSA non-exempt position. This position may work up to 20 hours each week while an RRCC student, depending on need and budget availability. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
