Stipend Job Summary:
The Student Government Association (SGA) Student Leader serves as a representative of the Community College of Denver student body. Student leaders advocate for student interests, gather student feedback, support campus initiatives, participate in shared governance, assist with events and outreach efforts, and collaborate with campus stakeholders to enhance the student experience. SGA members are expected to uphold the mission and values of the College while promoting student engagement, leadership development, and belonging
Duties & Responsibilities:
Represent the interests, concerns, and perspectives of Community College of Denver students. Serve as an active member of the Student Government Association and participate in meetings, committees, projects, and initiatives. Engage with students through outreach efforts, tabling, events, classroom presentations, and other communication methods. Assist with the planning, promotion, and execution of student programs, events, and leadership initiatives. Collect and communicate student feedback to SGA, institutional leadership, and relevant campus stakeholders. Participate in leadership development, retreats, trainings, conferences, and other professional development opportunities. Serve on committees and work collaboratively with fellow student leaders, faculty, staff, and administrators. Maintain accurate records of service hours and assigned responsibilities. Promote a positive, inclusive, and welcoming campus environment. Perform other duties as assigned in support of SGA initiatives and student success.

Minimum Qualifications:
Enrolled student at the Community College of Denver. Meet eligibility requirements established in the SGA Bylaws and Operational Procedures Manual. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and accountability. Ability to maintain confidentiality when appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous leadership, volunteer, student organization, or community engagement experience. Interest in advocacy, governance, event planning, public service, or student engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
