Job Summary:
Lamar Community College is seeking a Student Success Program Manager who is passionate about helping students overcome barriers, stay on track, and achieve their educational goals. This position plays an important role in connecting students with the resources they need to succeed while helping the College strengthen its overall approach to student success. The Student Success Program Manager will oversee COSI grant activities, monitor student success outcomes, coordinate early-alert and wraparound support services, and use data to identify opportunities to better support our students. The ideal candidate is organized, student-focused, comfortable working with data and reporting requirements, and able to collaborate across departments to turn student needs into meaningful action.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate LCC's COSI grant programs, including Precollegiate, Postsecondary, MSS, IHE, COSI Revamp, and other applicable initiatives. Complete required grant reporting and assist with monitoring grant budgets, activities, outcomes, and compliance requirements. Track key student success measures, including graduation, early-alert outcomes, and utilization of wraparound support services. Administer the College's early-alert process, ensuring alerts are appropriately routed, addressed, and connected to necessary student supports. Coordinate wraparound support services designed to reduce barriers to student success, including oversight of the campus food pantry. Collaborate with the Student Success Specialist and other College partners to collect and analyze information needed for COSI reporting and student success initiatives. Support the administration, reporting, and effective use of EAB Navigate. Manage Testing Center operations for placement testing, CLEP, proctored testing, and other applicable testing services. Assist Faculty by issuing proctored make-up tests Build collaborative relationships across the College to strengthen student retention, persistence, and completion. Perform other duties that support the goals of Student Services & Success and applicable grant programs. Other duties as assigned. COMPETENCIES/KSA's Knowledge of student success, advising, retention, and wraparound support practices, particularly for high-risk and nontraditional student populations. Knowledge of grant administration, reporting, compliance, and program tracking practices. Strong interpersonal, communication, mentoring, and relationship-building skills. Ability to interpret and use student data, success metrics, and early-alert information to support student outcomes. Ability to coordinate multiple programs, priorities, deadlines, and reporting requirements with accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to effectively use student information and technology systems, including EAB Navigate. Ability to collaborate across departments and build effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and external partners. Demonstrated sound judgment, initiative, problem-solving, confidentiality, and commitment to student success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required Minimum of 1-year experience advising students In an academic or student-support setting Minimum of 1-year experience in a customer service-related field Use and experience with EAB Navigate Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in education, counseling, or a related area Familiar with proactive advising practices, individualized advising plans, and the Incorporation of career development into advising Experience working in an education setting with diverse student populations
