Job Summary:
The Administrator is responsible for the overall leadership, management and operation of the Christian Education Center that includes preschool and two childcare programs. The early education center consists of a preschool/care program for ages 2 1/2
The school age program care is for 5-12 years. This center is affiliated with Trinity Lutheran Church. This role ensures the center provides safe, nurturing, faith-based environment that supports the spiritual, emotional, social and intellectual development of children while aligning with the church's vision and mission. The Administrator oversees daily operations, staff, supervision, regulatory compliance, financial management and community engagement. Reporting to the Board of Education and attending relevant church meetings. The Administrator serves as a spiritual leader and enforces the church's view and values. This position requires strong organizational, leadership and communication skills, along with a commitment to Lutheran faith principals and early education best practices. The Administrator ensures the center operates in full compliance with state licensing, church governance and program-specific requirements (e.g., CACFP, UPK, CCAP). Key Responsibilities Food Program (CACFP) Oversee and approve all aspects of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines for meal reimbursement. Quality Rating System Understand and implement all aspects of the state's childcare quality rating system (e.g., Colorado Shines) to maintain or improve the center's rating. Maintenance and Repairs Facilitate proper maintenance and repairs of equipment and building. Seek knowledge and approval from the Board of Education for larger or more costly repairs. Community Collaboration Seek, develop, and maintain collaborations and relationships with external community stakeholders. Orders, Procurement, and Budgeting Develop and maintain the annual budget; present to the Board of Education. Facilitate day-to-day ordering and procurement. Account for all receipts to the church administrator. Upholding Church Vision and Values Maintain a working knowledge of the church's views and vision. Uphold and enforce these in all center operations. Serve as a spiritual leader for staff, children, and families. Attend and report at monthly Board of Education meetings. Attend Trinity Lutheran Church Council and Voters' meetings. State Rules and Regulations Compliance Maintain working knowledge of state childcare rules and regulations. Implement and maintain policies in alignment with state guidelines. Ensure maintenance of licenses for Early Education and School-Age Programs. Facilitate inspections from state licensing, local health, fire, and other authorities. Staff Management, Scheduling, Employment, and Payroll Enrollment, Procare, UPK, and CCAP Oversee and approve the Assistant to Administrator's duties, including: Tracking and maintaining class placements, center enrollment, and waiting lists. Managing Procare for billing, attendance, account setup, payment posting, and past-due reporting. Tracking UPK payments, facilitating quarterly/annual accountability reports, maintaining online enrollment (with Administrator approval before submission). Tracking CCAP attendance, parent fees, and payments weekly. Day-to-Day Operations
- Oversees and directs all day-to-day operations Marketing, News, Communication, Calendar, and Events Oversee and direct all news, communications, marketing materials, calendars, and events.
Collaborate with the Assistant to Administrator on creation and distribution (with Administrator approval before final distribution). Center Health and Safety Maintain a healthy, controlled, clean, and safe work environment (physical, social, and emotional) for staff, students, and guests. Curriculum, Assessment, and Development Collaborate with directors of Early Education and School-Age programs. Oversee and facilitate curriculum implementation, child assessments, and developmental progress. General Duties Oversee and approve completion of all delegated duties by the Assistant to Administrator.
