Until filled Greenwich, CT Public Schools seeks a dynamic leader to serve as Principal at Riverside Elementary School beginning July 1, 2026. Established in 1933, Riverside Elementary School is dedicated to serving the children of the Riverside community, located in Greenwich, Connecticut. As a K-5 school, Riverside's student body typically comprises around 500 students. Riverside School has earned the prestigious title of a School of Distinction in the "Highest Overall Performance" category; this recognition is based on the State of Connecticut's rating system, which assesses each school's performance on standardized tests and assigns a "school performance index." Riverside's designation signifies that the school's performance ranks in the top 10% of all elementary schools in Connecticut. This exceptional achievement is a testament to the dedication and effort put forth by staff, students, and families. QUALIFICATIONS
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills Passion for innovative thinking and inquiry approach to instruction Excellent understanding of personalized learning, educational best practices, and the use of data to inform instruction Eligibility for Connecticut State Intermediate Administrator Certification (092) Previous school administrative experience preferred
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Standard administrator work schedule including attendance at Board meetings and other meetings as needed. Carries out his/her professional responsibilities to the extent required by the operational programs of the Greenwich Board of Education. Salary and benefits package is based on the Agreement between the Greenwich Board of Education and the Greenwich Organization of School Administrators Additional inquiries may be directed to Jonathan S.
