As the Senior Director, Data Science and AI/ML, you will be responsible for building the Warehouse AI strategy for GXO and then design and deploy AI effectively across the GXO network of warehouses. - Collates GXO's existing use cases of AI for warehouse automation.
- Partners with the regions to explore current usage and capabilities.
- Documents GXO AI library for internal and external stakeholders.
- Builds a global AI framework for warehouse automation.
- Maintains up-to-date records of AI in warehouse automation.
- Develops awareness of current AI service delivery models.
- Identifies future AI use case opportunities for warehouse automation.
- Partners with key leaders to explore viability of AI use cases.
- Builds business cases to propose solutions to increase warehouse automation via AI usage.
- Partners with the Automation Strategy team to define AI development, including translation of AI to P&L.
- Builds business cases around AI in Automation, conducting financial modeling scenarios.
- Partners with regional deployment managers to deploy warehouse AI solutions.
- Provides ad-hoc support as required.
- Partners with IT AI leaders to maximize use cases across the organization.
- Builds governance frameworks around AI usage.
- Develops capabilities across different teams on AI in warehouse automation.
GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience- 7 years of experience using or implementing AI in operations
- Operational excellence training or background
- Extensive strategic leadership experience in warehouse automation It'd be great if you also have: 10+ years of AI experience within Operations
- MBA or MS
- Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and listening skills
- Passion for innovation
