Until filled Greenwich, CT Public Schools seeks an innovative and dynamic leader to serve as the next Principal of Western Middle School beginning July 1, 2026. Home to approximately 520 students, grades 6-8, Western is a Title I school of ethnically, culturally, racially, and economically diverse learners. With the use of the AVID schoolwide system, Western incorporates structures and a belief system to allow ALL students to achieve at high levels, resulting in over a decade of exceptional academic growth. With an outstanding, student-centered staff and a family population that partners with the school in the best interest of its students, Western Middle School is committed to academic, personal, and interpersonal growth and to instilling a love of learning while preparing students to be successful in a rapidly changing and diverse global society.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills Passion for innovative thinking and inquiry approach to instruction Excellent understanding of personalized learning, educational best practices, and the use of data to inform instruction Eligibility for Connecticut State Intermediate Administrator Certification (092) Previous school administrative experience preferred
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Standard administrator work schedule including attendance at Board meetings and other meetings as needed. Carries out his/her professional responsibilities to the extent required by the operational programs of the Greenwich Board of Education. Salary and benefits package is based on the Agreement between the Greenwich Board of Education and the Greenwich Organization of School Administrators Additional inquiries may be directed to Jonathan S.
