Haddam Killingworth Middle School Principal Regional School District 17 - Higganum, CT Regional School District 17 is seeking an outstanding educational leader with demonstrated success as an instructional leader to serve as the next Middle School Principal at Haddam Killingworth Middle School. Position Overview The Middle School Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of the middle school, inspiring innovation and ensuring a student-centered approach to teaching and learning. The Principal builds a collaborative, high-performing school culture focused on continuous improvement, positive climate, and the growth and well-being of every student and staff member. This role ensures alignment with the District's values, Vision of the Graduate, and Strategic Operating Plan.

The successful candidate will:

Inspire and support high-quality teaching and learning Promote a positive, restorative, and student-centered school climate Lead staff development, collaboration, and continuous improvement efforts Engage meaningfully with students, families, and the broader community Ensure safe, efficient, and effective school operations Qualifications Connecticut Intermediate Administrator or Supervisor Certification (092) required Master's degree in education or related field Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably at the middle or secondary level Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and adolescent development Why Join RSD17? $169,226.13 - $192,402.55 per year
