Assistant Principal 1104 Balboa Avenue, Panama City, FL 32401 From $64,000 a year - Full-time From $64,000 a year - Full-time Overview We are looking for an Assistant Principal to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. This position plays a vital role in supporting our school's mission and vision to provide a high-quality education for each of our students. This leadership position involves collaborating with the Principal and other staff to create a positive learning environment, enhance student achievement, and foster community engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to educational excellence. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or related area Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related area Florida Teachers Certfication Educational Leadership Certification Minimum of five (5) years teaching (classroom experience). Experience managing and interpreting student data. Excellent written and verbal commiunication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with all employees. Duties Supports the School Principal in the overall administration of the school. Supervise teaching staff and support their professional development through coaching and mentoring. Collaborate with educators to develop and implement effective curriculum strategies that meet diverse student needs. Oversee student discipline and behavior management, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment. Participate in fundraising activities to support school programs and initiatives. Conduct classroom observations to provide constructive feedback aimed at improving instructional practices. Work closely with students, parents, and community members to foster positive relationships that enhance student success. Skills Strong understanding of education administration principles and practices. Proficient in budgeting processes related to school operations. Experience in supervising staff and leading educational initiatives. Excellent public speaking skills for effective communication with various stakeholders. Knowledge of curriculum development processes that promote academic achievement. Ability to educate and engage students effectively, fostering their growth both academically and socially. Experience working directly with students in an educational setting is highly desirable. Fundraising experience is a plus, contributing to the financial health of school programs. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about education and committed to making a difference in the lives of our students.
