Job Description

At Imagineers Academy, we nurture curiosity through play-based learning, STEAM education, meaningful hands-on experiences, and strong partnerships with families. Our goal is to provide exceptional Early Childhood Education through innovative activities, personalized attention, and a supportive environment that inspires children to develop a lifelong love of learning. We are seeking a responsible, highly organized, enthusiastic, and trustworthy School Administrator to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and school/childcare administration , with a strong understanding of the regulatory and operational requirements involved in running an early childhood program. This individual must be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities, solving problems, communicating with families and staff, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the daily operations of the school. This position will work directly with the Owner and will be expected to provide regular updates, communicate concerns promptly, and assist with implementing school policies and procedures. Trustworthiness, confidentiality, professionalism, initiative, and a positive attitude are essential for this position. Responsibilities Assist the Owner with the daily administration and operations of Imagineers Academy. Work directly with the Owner and report directly to her regarding school operations, staff, students, families, and administrative matters. Assist with maintaining compliance with Florida DCF, ELC, VPK, food program, and school district regulations and requirements. Maintain and organize student and staff files, ensuring required documentation is complete, current, and properly filed. Assist with enrollment, registration, student records, and administrative paperwork. Conduct school tours for prospective families and provide professional, welcoming, and informative communication about Imagineers Academy. Communicate professionally with parents and families and assist with addressing parent concerns and complaints in a calm, respectful, and solution-oriented manner. Assist with creating and maintaining staff schedules, classroom coverage, breaks, and daily staffing needs. Assist with monitoring staff attendance, punctuality, classroom responsibilities, and compliance with school policies. Assist with VPK program administration, documentation, evaluations, and compliance. Assist with food program documentation and compliance. Maintain accurate administrative records, spreadsheets, reports, and databases. Use Microsoft Excel proficiently for schedules, tracking, reports, data organization, and administrative tasks. Assist with inspections, audits, licensing documentation, and requests from regulatory agencies. Help ensure classrooms and staff are following Academy policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. Support teachers and staff with day-to-day questions and operational needs. Help identify problems and take appropriate steps to resolve situations efficiently and professionally. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student, family, staff, and school information. Assist with school events, meetings, trainings, and other Academy activities. Be willing to step in and support the team when unexpected situations arise. Represent Imagineers Academy with professionalism, enthusiasm, positivity, and excellent customer service. Requirements CDA or Bachelor's degree is required in Early Childhood Education, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Director Credential is required. DCF 45-hour certification required. Previous administrative or school/childcare management experience required . Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting. Experience with DCF regulations and childcare licensing requirements. Knowledge of ELC requirements and procedures. Experience with VPK programs and requirements. Knowledge of school district regulations and procedures preferred. Experience with food program requirements and documentation preferred. Experience maintaining and organizing student and staff files. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong computer skills. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to professionally handle parent concerns, complaints, and sensitive situations. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with families, staff, and regulatory agencies. Must demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, initiative, accountability, and a positive attitude. Must be trustworthy, dependable, responsible, and able to maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to work independently while also working closely with the Owner. Must be available to work until 6:00 PM and have flexibility to support the school's operational needs. Must be willing to assist with staff scheduling, classroom coverage, school tours, enrollment, documentation, inspections, and other administrative responsibilities as needed. Leadership & Trust This is a leadership position that requires a high level of trust and responsibility. The School Administrator will work directly with the Owner and report directly to her . We are looking for someone who is not only qualified on paper, but who demonstrates integrity, discretion, loyalty, initiative, enthusiasm, and excellent judgment. The ideal candidate is someone the Owner can trust to handle daily situations professionally, protect confidential information, communicate concerns honestly, and follow through on responsibilities.
