Job Description

The Student Success Graduate Assistant supports the Student Success Center's (SSC) growing work with student-athletes by supervising study hall sessions, assisting with events and programming, and handling administrative and travel-letter coordination for athletics. This role helps the SSC sustain its formalized study hall program while providing the assistant with hands-on professional development in student affairs.
Study Hall Supervision:
Organize and oversee study hall sessions, providing academic support and monitoring attendance and engagement.
Event and Programming Support:
Assist with planning and executing SSC events and student programs.
Travel Letters:
Prepare and process travel letters for student-athletes, coordinating with coaches, faculty, and athletics staff to ensure timely communication of missed-class dates.
Administrative Support:
Provide general office support for the SSC, including data checking and communication with Academic Affairs. Currently enrolled as a graduate student (or accepted incoming graduate student) at New College of Florida in good academic standing. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly for administrative and data-tracking tasks. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a consistent weekly schedule of 20 hours, including some evening or weekend availability for study halls and events. Prior experience in tutoring, academic coaching, or student support services. Familiarity with NAIA or collegiate athletics operations, including travel and eligibility processes. Experience with event planning or student programming. Interest in a career in higher education, student affairs, or athletics administration.
