Job Description

Project Superintendent, Heavy Civil Tampa Bay, FL Full-Time A large heavy civil contractor with a national footprint and an active Florida program is hiring a Superintendent for highway, bridge, and infrastructure work in the Tampa Bay area. This role runs day-to-day field operations on roadway, bridge, drainage, waterworks, and utility projects, much of it FDOT work, with room to grow toward General Superintendent as the Florida program expands. Schedule Full-time, field-based role. Relocation candidates welcome. Compensation $110,000 to $145,000 per year, plus bonus opportunity. What You'll Do This superintendent runs day-to-day field operations on active heavy civil projects, leading crews and subcontractors and setting the daily and weekly schedule. The role drives production while holding the job to schedule and budget, owns safety on site, and manages quality, inspections, and punch items to spec. This position plans equipment, materials, and deliveries, coordinates with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and the owner, and handles maintenance of traffic and work zone setup on roadway jobs. The superintendent keeps daily reports, quantities, and field documentation accurate throughout each project. Required Qualifications 5+ years running crews as a Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Assistant Superintendent on heavy civil work Highway, bridge, roadway, drainage, waterworks, or utility project experience Ability to read plans and specifications and build the work from them Preferred Qualifications FDOT project experience Bridge or structures experience OSHA 30 and MOT/TTC certification Bilingual English and Spanish Compensation and Benefits $110,000 to $145,000 per year, plus bonus opportunity Company vehicle and fuel card 401(k) with company match up to 6% Full benefits package Education reimbursement To apply, submit your resume for consideration.
